The last week has been rough, I mean really really rough. You know those periods in life when nothing goes your way. You try everything, but nothing works out. Even the pettiest of things that you never thought could go wrong go haywire. You know exactly what I am talking about, don’t you?
It’s a phase in life where we are basically addicted to a certain kind of sadness, I don’t know how to explain it, but it’s like a deep rut, the harder you try the more you get trapped into it.
Well, I won’t tell you what happened because pestering you by telling my problems is the last thing I want to do on this platform.
But, often when we are in a continuous period of struggle we decide to make our lives less miserable and find a solution to our troubles. So, this prompted me to find out that how to break the shackles of getting caught in a pattern of behavior and how to reverse it.
After a lot of searching on YouTube I finally discovered a technique which I thought make sense and worked for me. I decided to share it here for that very reason and hope that it helps you as well.
So according to the monk, the brain vibrates at different frequencies, similar feelings have similar frequencies. So, if you are feeling sad or in other words accessing the sad part of the brain everything will make you sad, even if it something that should cheer you up. So, how can you vibrate at a frequency that is positive and happy, you may ask? The way to do this is by closing your eyes and affirming that you are happy. Affirming alone is useless, we need to think about feeling that way. For example, if I say “I am confident”, I need to close my eyes and think of myself being in a situation where I portray those qualities because affirmations without feelings are useless.
I would personally recommend thinking of something that is already great in your life, before practicing this exercise. Thinking of things, you are thankful for fills us up with gratitude and puts us in a great sense of mind. I think of how grateful I am for the family I have, a text from a loved one or anything that you achieved in your life that makes you happy.
Hope you find this helpful guys. Remember that this moment will pass, and everyone’s life is as miserable or as great as yours.
