Over the past 6 months or so, I have said innumerable number of times about working hard and giving it our best shot day in and day out. 1 thing I am never said and apologize for it as I am guilty of it myself is the importance of having fun.
With the added pressure of studies, whatever time I had to cool down and relax has gone as well. There is nothing more important right now for me then the courses i am taking at school. I was talking to a colleague at work today who knows me really well as she asked me about how my studies were going I told her they were going great and then she said what else are you doing to cope up with it?
I didn't know the answer to that question. I work out and that's about it and that was she was pointing out. She wanted me to think how important other things in life our and if I don't focus on them, I will start to lose my efficiency.
I contemplated on this thought for a while and realized how naive I have been. I have reduced my sleep time, I have reduced my down time and the only thing i think about is either work or my exams.
So I decided I am travelling to the west coast for 5 days to chill and have fun for a change.
The thing I certainly forgot was living in the moment and enjoying what I doing right now. I think all of us are guilty of this. We think of the what next, what am I doing this evening, tomorrow, next week. How about giving your mind some rest and enjoying the right now. I need to learn and hopefully you can get something positive out of this as well.
