Life is too short, so they say,
Thus, "Enjoy!" is my mantra every day.
"Little" indulgences I will allow,
The first of which is from cacao.

Chocolate is my sweet defeat,
It often beckons me to eat.
The dark variety is the main culprit,
Smooth, velvety, bittersweet - my favorite.

Of the next, I am not so proud,
But only because I become so loud.
Wobbly with wine but sometimes gin,
My over-consumption, some call a sin.

The last to which I will admit,
Is my early morning, caffeine fix.
I start to shake and can't say "No",
To a steamy cup of expresso!
