Today was another disappointing day. I've been giving it some thought. In my previous posts, I explained that I do have opportunities to get active but that I haven't been able to take advantage of those opportunities. I think it comes down to inertia.
Since I have been taking this class, I sit on front of a computer screen all day. I also happen to sit in front of a computer screen for work as well. But the class is a bit different because it demands my attention on their schedule. Normally, I would get up and walk around after completing a task or getting to a stopping point. With the class, I have to be plugged in to what they're talking about. I have to pay attention. By time I do get the chance to get up, I end up just taking some more notes or thumbing through the books some more. It's hard for me to break the cycle of inactivity. I'm focused and switching gears away from that focus doesn't come naturally.
So I guess I just have to try to come up with a way to break that cycle. To tell you the truth, I'm not too sure how to go about it. I'm sure I'll figure it out one way or the other. See you all tomorrow.
