Honestly, I will miss Steem. It was a place where so many recognizable avatars prevailed year after year. We can all share in our stories of Bilal Haider and Steemit.chat and so forth. Good times. But hey, moving on.
One thing that I spend my entire Steem time since 2017 doing is helping others through the curation project SteemSTEM, now 'HiveSTEM', soon to be _______? in the coming days.
We have worked thanklessly for years - especially @lemouth - on the project. Lemouth and I have seen people come and go, join our team, leave the team, create fantastic content, plagiarise, abuse, you name it.
Especially the abuse just kidding!
I'll badger people about this project more later as my excitement for it grows, but in short, @stem.witness is run by the exceptionally capable founder of SteemSTEM, and has perpetually run him into debt. He has continued regardless, and it's my belief that this witness deserves to be higher in the rankings, especially now the sockpuppets are gone.
Now more than ever is the most important time to remove your 'strategic' witness votes from the past few weeks and take a good long look at whoever it may be that you want to support.
Hive should truly emphasise the importance of governance here. Whether you like it or not, Hive will forever be a political social media space. The two are inherently intertwined here - for better or worse!
Obviously, @stem.witness is the first choice, but it's up to you what you do with the rest =)
That's all for now, have fun!
