Coming up on my birthday this year, I was not very excited. I was turning 26 years old, and I haven’t seen almost any of my friends in a full year. I have hardly hugged any of my family members this year, and it’s just been generally depressing to get older without feeling as though I’ve made any progress with my life.
but this birthday was a lot better than I expected. 90% of my family is fully vaccinated, now, and the weather was absolutely beautiful.
So we hugged, and aria gave me a big birthday kiss on the cheek!
My sister Sophie threw a French themed garden party at my aunts house with all sorts of treats. And I had three birthday parties throughout the day (breakfast pancakes, lunch garden party, and a dinner party)
It felt like a celebration of my life, and also a celebration of spring, and celebration of vaccination because we are all able to be together again without anxiety. It was a truly fun day.
