Sometimes it feels like the clouds are doing all the work and presenting something random and interesting in the sky. When I started to view these in black and white, it was the dynamic range of the tones that stood out. From white to black, it seemed like there was a full range of gradations in the tones presented in the clouds. I also enjoyed being able to get some silhouettes of the trees to add something else to the frame, maybe like an anchor as the eye moves around the image.
