Are you a canoe person or a kayak person? I don't know if it matters so long as you are on the water. Its fun to row your boat along in these calm waters of the Elbow river. You don't even have to own a canoe or kayak, you can rent them and take it out for a spin. For an hour or two of some relaxing recreation, this is a great spot. The Elbow River feeds into the Glenmore reservoir at Weaselhead Natural Area. If sailing is more your thing, there are also sailboats a little further east on the actual reservoir itself.
