The simplicity of this sunset and the landscape is a good example of minimalism. There really isn't much going on throughout the frame, just a darkened silhouette of the horizon and the bright, glowing orb we call the sun slowly moving below it as the sky is completely lit up by the fading light. The reds come from going with a darker exposure, and the oranges come from a slightly longer exposure. I used the light in the sky to set my exposures so that the landscape would be very darker and the sun would take over as the only important object in the image.
