Family Sundays
In my family, since I remember, Sunday is a day of rest, to share with the family, ideal to receive visits from friends and family and also for being a non-working day, quietly do some housework and organize things for the following week.
In my home, very few times have we had assistants for housework and especially, in the stage when the children went to school and dad and mom to their workplaces, it was a habit to leave all the clothes organized on the weekend. These tasks were carried out between Saturday and Sunday; but on Saturday the shopping was done and many times we ate out. Of course, between one thing and another, we took the opportunity to wash and dry the clothes. I did the ironing when it was essential to do it.
Our current trend remains the same, although the liberation of complying with strict work schedules makes the activities of the week more flexible and one can dedicate Sundays to walking and going out close to home and I like the most, receiving and making visits.

Today, the household has been reduced to two, my husband and myself. And we thank God, because we both enjoy the great gift of life, since several beautiful couples we know have lost their partner. So we are very lucky. Both alive and in good health.
Because there are only two of us, the tasks have been reduced as well as the activities that we must carry out; but basically, Sunday is still our quintessential family day; because one also has to take into account the obligations of others, with work routines against hours and a variety of social commitments.
My children have continued the family tradition of taking Sunday to rest and share with the family. So on Sundays we are waiting for your calls or video calls, to receive documentary photographs of your fun activities, walks or concerts. Or how they take the opportunity to decorate or remodel their home.
Family cooking.
That does not prevent anyone who can get home on any Saturday or Sunday and set up an impromptu micro-party. Party for the joy of seeing each other, hugging each other, looking at the smiling faces and feeling the warm hugs. Food, without complications, is just the complement to stay together and talk, and talk.
One
of our favorite activities on Sunday is to walk to the beach, although we also do it during the week, as long as the day is nice, without a blizzard. Other times we go to the port. Even when it is the same sea, the views are different, especially if we want to have a coffee or a beer, since the port is touristy and has a row of restaurants and bars (cafeterias), among them one of Venezuelan food and sometimes they play music. live, outdoors.

When the pocket allows it, we do tapeo, that is, we eat tapas (snacks) in different business. It's a very pleasant way to eat and have a good time, because you try different types of tapas.Everyone has olives, but each house has its own special. We never eat out on Sundays, for two important reasons, we prefer to return home early, walking, rest from the walk and then have dinner quietly and also, food is much cheaper at home.
On the other hand, many Sundays we don't feel like moving from home, we stay calmly at home and enjoy some tasty tapas, lying on the sofa and watching a good series or movies. Not bad at all, right?
