I want to tell a little story about I and my friend Ama and the way we dropped coming late.
In Nigeria we don’t keep to Time,you tell us the program is by 5 and believe me we are going to show up by 7 and you know the funny thing? The program would probably start by 7 too,so we just played each other or something lol and we are all just happy cause everything worked, everyone’s win.This is popularly known as Africa Man Time.
You can’t even stop this anymore is like part of the people but well not anymore for I and my friend Ama.
This is just a short video of I and Ama,In this video we were in school, outside the class we could not get in, and as you can see we ain’t even happy.We believe lecturers comes to teach atleast An hour late, well they do tho.. BUT this lady !!
Okay the story is we had a class by 8. We showed up by 8:15 and the lady locked the entrance and nobody could go in,we got information that she was there by exact 8 and lectures started. The class was pretty much empty with about 15students.Probably because we all believed in African Man’s Time.
Anyways we had her class the next day and Damn we couldn’t make it by 8!! Again though our houses are far from the school but then that wasn’t reason enough.But I noticed something the numbers of student in the LOCKED class(since we couldn’t get in) increased.
It was like we were learning to keep to time. Well I and Ama knew this is a whole new thing and we need to change and to accept the new system since this lady isn’t playing fair,this was discipline in action and it was working.Anyways we promised ourselves that we ain’t gonna come late again and guess wat? We did not,we were as early as the word EARLY..So we happy like this..lol
Now the thing is,we didn’t want to take chances on every other thing,it was like we changed totally,not just for this lady’s class but on everything else.it doesn’t hurt to keep to Time.And when you set a time for a program or a class make sure to start by that time,it helps, I and Ama are examples.
