Hi great minds,
I couldn’t write on Wednesday and Thursday because I have been reading books to prepare for exams.
I was talking about Gestalt Therapy. The reason I chose to discuss this theory is because it deeply resonates with me.
Today, I’d like to focus on one of the terms in the therapy, “unfinished business.”
Many personal crises occur when an individual avoids challenges by using defense mechanisms such as denial, projection, and intellectualization.
I mentioned that this is a common issue because we live in a generation where avoiding challenges has become the norm. We suppress emotions in the name of “I am protecting my peace,” but unexpressed emotions linger and can become a significant problem in the long run.
There is nothing wrong with apologizing when you are wrong.
There is nothing wrong with taking accountability when you are wrong.
There is no shame in being vulnerable.
Isolation, meaninglessness, responsibility, death, love, betrayal, and pain will always exist. These are factors that contribute to a balanced life, whether we accept them or not.
Life will not always align with our understanding, and that can lead to a healthier perspective.
We are responsible for the reactions and responses we give.
In conclusion,
A psychologically healthy person is someone who is aware of their feelings and responds appropriately.
Thank you for reading.
See you next time.
