Splinterlands has long been recognized as a highly popular card strategy game within the blockchain and Web3 gaming space. The core appeal of the game lies in daily battles, facing off against new opponents, and strengthening your deck. However, the most rewarding moments arrive when, after a long session or league, you finally get the chance to claim your hard-earned rewards. I recently reached a significant milestone in my gameplay: I successfully completed Modern Division 8 and unlocked Division 7. This post covers that journey and the experience of opening my reward chests.

Advancing from one tier to the next in Splinterlands is no easy feat. You must constantly adapt to varying rulesets and mana caps while carefully selecting the right cards for each battle. After a series of intense, hard-fought matches, seeing the notification that I had unlocked Modern Division 7 was a fantastic feeling. The game acknowledged that my strategy—as a "battle mage"—had paid off, granting me entry into a higher level of competition. Moving up to a higher division means facing tougher opponents, but it also brings greater rewards for every victory.

Once the new division was unlocked, it was time for the highly anticipated reward claim. For completing Division 8, I received three standard chests, one special Silver chest, and 1,000 Glint tokens. Under the current system, Glint is incredibly valuable; it can be accumulated and spent in the in-game shop to acquire various reward cards or additional card draws. This means that even if you don’t pull a specific card directly, you can use your Glint to obtain the draws you prefer. Just before opening the reward chests, an important option appeared: the ability to use potions. I already had some Legendary Potions in my account, so I decided to take advantage of the situation and chose to use one. Using this potion doubles the chances of obtaining high-quality Epic or Legendary cards from the chests—a strategy I always try to employ to gain a slight edge in the game.

Once the potion was activated, the main event—opening the chests—began. The excitement grew with each chest I opened. When all the rewards were finally revealed on the screen, I was quite pleased with the outcome. In total, I managed to collect 2,000 Glint, which will be a valuable addition to my future collection.

Among the cards, the most notable was "Husk of the Hunter"—a powerful, 9-mana Undead card. I received three copies in total: one individually, followed by two more together. In high-mana battles, ranged-attack cards like this play a crucial role in protecting one's deck while striking opponents from a distance.

I also pulled a rare Fire Elemental card called "Magmaforged." It is a 3-mana card, making it highly effective for rapid attacks in low-mana matches. When playing with a Fire deck, this card proves useful for both defense and offense. In addition to the cards, I received three entry tickets for draws or tournaments, providing me with extra opportunities to participate in major events. Furthermore, I also acquired some additional Legendary and Alchemy Potions to use in the future. All in all, the experience of concluding this division was quite rewarding for me. The new cards have, to some extent, enriched my collection. My primary goal now is to combine duplicates of the same cards to level them up, thereby enhancing their strength and special abilities. At the same time, I aim to refine my deck specifically for Division 7. The competition will only get tougher in the days ahead, so I must remain cautious with every move I make. This is the true joy of playing Splinterlands—every victory and every new card serves as a valuable resource for future battles.
