Don't ask what that perpetual game of running in circles means; no one could give a simple answer. Is it an enigma, or does it simply amuse the hands to try to guess the numbers they should show? Nah… just a human invention; a practical application of science, probably. Although we humans ourselves tend to seek answers—for goodness sake, we're more sophisticated than simply leaving everything to chance, right?
Every time you look at a clock, you can witness the marathon between the two hands that sometimes run ahead, sometimes wait for each other with their eyes closed, but they always seem to embrace each other over and over again and become one, every hour at a different spot.
Whether they are pointing to numbers, lines, words, or musical notes, the mechanism must run flawlessly. If it is not properly tuned, the consequences can be catastrophic. Ok, maybe not catastrophic, but you know, you can be late for work, a meeting, a concert; you can miss your train or flight; you can cause unnecessary stress by arriving late to a meeting with family or friends, or by being late picking someone up. Nothing tragic in reality, but still, your reputation is also in question. Though, as some people told me yesterday while waiting for two students who were late from the concert (and they had to start it actually), that in Spain we run on a different pace. Are you still not used to it? they asked me.
The wall clocks in this music school show slightly different times in each classroom. Still, they make a little collection, which I will use as a little reminder for all of us about our monthly theme for June, which is CLOCKS and WATCHES. There is still time to bring your entry if you want. Whenever you want, because even though the topics tend to come on a monthly basis, they don't expire. You can enter with any of the past topics or wait for the new one that hopefully will come in a few days when July starts.
P.S. It is 18:07 when I am finishing this post, something like the time that the clock in the first photo shows. 😆 Just a coincidence, and anyway until I find a proper title... Miss Time will steal some minutes (or hours). still figuring out the title of the post... maybe it will be almost half past seven until I get to the publish button. 🙄😂
