As I write this text, the house smells of freshly peeled tangerines and oranges. It is the scent of December fruit. Once, in my childhood, we used to get them as gifts just for St. Nicholas or Christmas because at that time it was still rare to have oranges often, and in a country where it was not a common fruit.
Now, when I live surrounded by oranges and all citrus fruits, it is no longer a rarity for me... but it evokes fond childhood memories.
Freshly picked tangerines, a gift from our neighbour
But it is also no longer uncommon to spend December mornings by the sea with magical sunrises.
With people who are grateful to the sun. With people who have decided to welcome this source of energy and life... by walking, observing the views or doing Thai-chi.
These images were immortalized a few days ago, on a typical Spanish morning in December. This group of people was mixed by age, profession, gender ... It didn't matter, whether you were young or old, you could join and start the day this way. This activity was accompanied by soothing Zen music, followed by the chirping of birds and the steady sounds of the waves of the sea.
I decided to take part again in the #SunThursday contest, to support it with my attendance, as seems that just a few people are attending. Maybe it is because of the less sunshine during the winter or people don't have time.
I am not a professional photographer, neither the pictures were taken with a good camera.... it is just my phone. But, at least the sun almost always shines here, so this is my part, to share it. So this is my entry for the @uwelang's Sun Thursday Contest issue 12.
Thanks for your time and see you here and/or Hive Fest ☀️
