It's my first time posting here. So, I got to know about this community and I'm so happy to be here.
I want to share a little story.
Some years back after I lost my mom, I was taken to a place where I was treated without love most times. As a result, I found it hard to believe people. I had bitterness in me and found it hard to forgive people.
But after I got to learn about who Jesus is and after accepting His love, it became easier for me to forgive people. I even forgave everyone who treated me badly then.
So, on Sunday, while my pastor was preaching, he spoke solely on forgiveness.
He further went to tell us that Jesus Christ instructs that we should forgive our brothers.
When Peter asked Jesus how many times a person should offend him before he gets angry, Jesus instructed that until it's 70×7. When I calculated it, it was 490 times and I wondered how possible it could be that a person would offend someone 490 times a day.
In other words, Jesus was telling us that our tank of forgiveness should never run dry.
As I listened to the pastor, I got a better understanding of the scripture.
So, I asked God to help me to be able to forgive at all times, no matter how hurt I may be.
