Jongkak kimchi is the pony tail radish kimchi made from Korean radish (altari mu). The word "Jongkak in Korean means "bachelor" because bachelors in the past in Korea all wore long pony tails. I always draw Jonkak as a happy but chubby bachelor as apposed to his small orange friend "Doogie kkak".
Today Jongkak was reading Leviticus and discovered that priests never ate the fat portion of the offering. He then invented the Jongkak diet and
decided to offer half of his fat to the Lord. It might have been called the Levitate diet but Jongkak is calling it the Jongkak diet.
Sometimes things get to his head. When he read that he was Korea's most loved kimchi he just lost it.
What he doesn't know is that he doesn't Jongkak doesn't contain that much fat. He is mostly water so he doesn't have to stress that much about the offering.
This Jongkak began as a sketch on my desk. I'd rather spend my free time creating this little annoying drawings than do anything else.
The picture was drawn on white paper and black marker. The first coloring edit was made on sketchbook a free open source software. The next edit was made on an app called pics art.
I seem to make these when ever the weather cools down. I never draw in the heat of summer. I think it is just to sticky. Now to get rid of that spare tire. Time to exercise.
