Many people ask me, Bi, why do you enjoy watching Korean dramas so much like you're obsessed with it
Some believed it is only because of the romance scene, but that is not my reason.
What keeps me watching are the stories behind it, the psychological depth, the crime investigations, the military operations, the political struggles, and the way characters think through difficult situations, most especially the manipulation and the art of negotiations.
These dramas challenge me to think differently and appreciate different perspectives.
Today, however, I want to talk about something that has earned my respect over the years, that is the korean food, especially KIMCHI
The more I watch Korean dramas, the more I realize that food is not just something to eat in Korea.
It is a beautiful part of the country's history, culture, and identity. Which is one of the things I truly admire.
Kimchi, which is mainly made from napa cabbage or Korean radish, well seasoned with ingredients like garlic, ginger, Korean chili flakes, green onions, and other traditional seasonings before it is fermented. It has a unique taste that many people around the world have come to love.

What fascinates me most is not only the flavor but also what kimchi represents.
Like I said, it's not just a food, It symbolizes family, tradition, patience, and togetherness.
This dish has made many Korean families come together during Kimjang to prepare kimchi for the months ahead.
To me, that is a beautiful tradition because it shows love, cooperation, and the importance of preserving culture from one generation to the next.
I once tried making kimchi myself, but I ended up spoiling the cabbage, it's funny tho but instead of becoming discouraged, the experience made me appreciate even more the skill, patience, and knowledge that go into preparing this traditional dish.
It reminded me that some traditions are perfected through years of practice and are worth respecting.
One day, I hope to taste authentic kimchi in Korea. Not just because I want to try a new food, but because I want to experience a tradition that means so much to the Korean people.
To the Koreans thank you for preserving and sharing your culture with the world.
Through your dramas, your traditions, and your food, I have learned that every meal can tell a story. That kimchi is more than a side dish, it is a symbol of heritage, family, and pride.
That is something I deeply respect, and I hope to experience it for myself someday.
