I am happy like never before because I feel so prepared and ready for the coming year (2018). By this time every year it's a tradition for me to plan for the coming year. Set goals and targets, write out my expectations and the rest of it but I have come to realize that by the end of the year I don't even produce as much as expected. I find myself making mistakes that alters the entire plan.

This time with the advice from friends and leaders in particular and the experiences I have had from previous years I can now tell why my yearly plans don't work out, one of which is like most persons we wait until first of January before we start, this is the first step to failure.
It's very essential to know that notwithstanding the plans you've laid for the coming year, if you don't start today such plans won't live past January 2nd or manageably 30th of January
The reason is very simple, there's no difference between January 1st and today except the consciousness that January 1st is a new year. That is not compelling enough.
Imagine if you are a chain smoker and you are planning to stop smoking on January 1st but you will smoke the last cigarette on December 31st. I can guarantee you, by January 2nd, you will find yourself with another stick or a stick of cigarette will find its way to your mouth, whichever locates the other first.
Tomorrow starts today and not tomorrow. What do you intend to achieve in 2018? Break it down to daily, weekly and monthly plan and start now. Don't look forward to the new year without Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time bound plan.
If you you have no SMART plan, something else will be planned for your time because time is never wasted, but spent.
I am planning to have a chain of 8 mini shops in a particular location, while I am looking for the money to execute the plan, I have gone ahead to conduct market survey by myself, I identified the 8 stores, spoken to the agents in charge while waiting for money to pay.
I have also started staff recruitment for the stores just waiting for funds to finalise everything.
Don't wait until everything is ready, identify what you can do without money and start now. Because money goes in the direction of the man or woman that has great plan for it.
It's one thing to plan while it's another to achieve the set plan. We can only be successful when we successfully monitor our progress and ensure it's growing in line with the our expectations.
In this coming year plan wisely and the sky will be your starting point.
