George was a popular kid, All his friends called him, Giddy-k which meant giddy the killer, it was just a nick name, it didn't really mean he killed people, it just meant he was good with the girls. He was loved by all who knew him, Excluding his parents who loved him more, he was their one and only son.
While growing up Giddy loved to be independent, he always loved to work for his own money, even though his parents where really comfortable.
He would often get small jobs to do around his neighborhood, after which he would use the proceeds to get video games and gadgets for himself later. This was a trait he got from his father while growing up.
Giddy was just 19 years old when he got admission into the university, he was going to study mass communication in the best school in his state. It made him the happiest man on earth.
Giddy could never forget the day he was to set off to campus, his mother was in a pool of tears, she was going to miss her only son, she kept on saying. Giddy promised and assured her, that he would come see her every two months.
That morning, His father drove him to the park. On the way they had a very deep conversation, he kept on advising Giddy to keep healthy company, run away from bad friends and avoid trouble without limiting his fun in school.
University life was fun for Giddy-k, he had a lot of supportive friends because he was an easy going person with a very low tendency to get angry.
But the amount of friends he had was a disadvantage, he also met people he wasn't supposed to meet in school, he had a lot of good friends and a lot of bad ones too. But life in school was smooth nonetheless.
He got into his 2nd year with a very high G.P, he was on a straight road towards first class. But that's when the trouble started.
Giddy met an Engineering student, his name was prince. He was popular but with a lot of skeletons in his cupboard.
They both understood each other, and they where both good with the girls😏. Both their girlfriends(Kate and Audrey) knew and where close to each other. So they spent a lot of time together.
In the second semester of their second year, Prince came up with an idea to throw an all guys get together, but it wasn't going to hold inside the campus, he had the weird idea to host it in the woods, a thick forest located at the back of the campus.
It was definitely an unreasonable and strange concept, but everyone bought the idea.
Giddy on the other hand was very skeptical about the whole thing, he didn't trust Prince that much yet, but he had no choice but to accept the invitation.
The party was going to hold in a week's time, the preparations where massive. The budget was going to cover a whole cow, which would be used for suya, And there was going to be a lot of alcohol.
On the day before the party, Giddy and prince were strolling in the park, discussing about the party.
Giddy- "What actually gave you the idea to host your party in the woods, don't you think it's strange?".
Prince- "Laughs", I know it's strange, and that why I chose it. You see, we need to be in the open close to mother earth, our spirits must collide with the stars".
Giddy- " wow that's deep".
Prince- "Its going to be fun, trust me".
That night before Giddy went to bed, he got a call from his mother, she was just checking up on him. "pray and avoid any trouble my son" She said before ending the call.
The day of the party finally came and everyone was buzzing.
They where to meet at a bar inside campus before they would all set out into the woods.
At the bar Giddy met a lot of Prince's friends whom he had never met before. He was shocked at there numbers, how did he not meet any of them until now, but he spent most of his time with Prince.
The time to set out finally came and they left in pairs carrying the boos and meat. They had to go through a little village before they could get to the entrance of the forest. The pathway was really scary.
Giddy and prince walked together carrying a cooler and a bag each full of fried meat. They were the second to the Last set to enter the forest.
With just few minutes away from there destination, Giddy could see flames and smoke from the distance, that was where the party was going to hold.
But at the same time everywhere was quite, it was very Unusual, there was supposed to be loud music playing, Giddy suspected fowl play.
Within seconds everything went wrong. Prince suddenly dropped the cooler, He just stood, staring at Giddy. Giddy was confused "What's wrong?", Giddy asked, but before he could get a reply he was on the ground, he was ambushed from the back by unknown men.
They manhandled him and got all his cloths off. With pain and confusion in giddy's heart, he tried to run but he couldn't.
He could see a familiar figure standing right in front of him, it was Prince. "What the hell is happening" He thought.
After sometime, he was dragged out of the pathway and into the forest, alongside some familiar faces.
They were made to hold each other and walk like slaves, singing and chanting strange songs, until they got to where the fire was burning.
It was at that moment that Giddy understood what was going on. He was about to be initiated into a secret cult. His heart melted in his chest.
Prince stood in front of the fire wearing a strange red robe alongside two other men wearing white and black robes.
Giddy and his subordinates where then forced to get on there knees. They where surrounded by almost 30 men. The ritual was about to begin.
It started with the men chanting strange songs and shouting at the top of their voices, calling each other strange names. Then there was sudden silence.
Giddy and his subordinates where forcefully made to say an oath, swearing that they would remain loyal and dedicated to the affairs of the brotherhood till the end of their lives.
To Giddy It was getting real, he was about doing what he promised his parents not to do.
After the oath was a blood covenant, their bloods where collected in a calabash by Prince using a very sharp razor.
When it got to Giddy's turn, Prince took his hands in his, with a big smile on his face he said, "It's your turn my friend", "Why?" Giddy replied crying.
Giddy suddenly screamed and woke up from his slumber. It was all a dream.
He immediately got his cell phone and called prince, he told him he was no longer interested in his party.
