Hi there,
Am Ezego miles favor chidera, a 22 year old Nigerian, from Anambara state, Aniocha l. G. A. Am a student of the University of Nigeria nsukka, studying home economics and hospitality management education currently in my final year. I reside permanently with my parents in the f. C. T where I grew up and also had my primary and secondary education.
Growing up I had a dream of being a pilot, I fancied the idea of actually flying a plane, I loved the respect, prestige and the charisma attached to the profession, but I also loved to cook as I was very close to my mother growing up and she would always call me to the kitchen to help her cook, I accumulated a lot of local and traditional cooking skills while growing up but I never really thought of been a chef. I mastered a lot of dishes and I could cook almost everything we ate at home.
When I concluded my secondary school education I wrote my compulsory Jamb examinations and applied for electrical engineering in the university, but I failed to gain admission, I had to wait an extra year to take the jamb exams again which I did and applied for economics , but instead I got admission in another department, quite the opposite home economics and hospitality management.
I decided to give it a try.
When I got to school for the first time I found out I was the only boy in my department among 26 girls. And a department of female lecturers, the university didn't deam it fit to give a lot of male students admission to the department cause it was a new one,
The experience wasn't easy at first but I got used to it, we had mostly practicals in my department so it was difficult but I applied the skills I got from my mother at home and I flourished.
Now I would love to become a world class chef, I have improved my skills in all form of cooking skills, I have worked as a su chef during my industrial training IT. And the experience was pleasureable.
