Parque Nacional Mochima: Isla de Plata 🏝️

Por fin cumplí un sueño que tenía de conocer El parque Nacional Mochima, Venezuela es conocida por sus paisajes tropicales y por tener unas playas hermosas que nos regala el mar caribe y Mochima es uno de los destinos más solicitados al momento de conocer Venezuela, claramente yo también tenía que vivir esa experiencia.
El Parque Nacional Mochima está ubicado entre el estado Sucre y el estado Anzoátegui teniendo destinos diferentes dependiendo del estado donde te encuentres, en mi caso fuimos por el lado de Anzoátegui para partir de allí hacia la Isla de Plata, un paraíso increíble que se convirtió en una de mis playas favoritas. ✨

Salimos a las 12:00 AM de Caracas y desde allí son como 4/5 horas de camino, hicimos una parada en alguna parte de Miranda para que el chófer agarra un poco de ánimo para que no se quedara dormido y que comiera un poco, y nosotros aprovechar de estirar las piernas. A las 6 de la mañana ya estábamos en el puerto de Anzoátegui para agarrar la lancha que nos llevaría a Isla larga 🏝️.

I finally fulfilled my dream of visiting Mochima National Park. Venezuela is known for its tropical landscapes and beautiful beaches on the Caribbean Sea, and Mochima is one of the most popular destinations for visitors to Venezuela. Clearly, I had to experience it for myself.
Mochima National Park is located between the states of Sucre and Anzoátegui, with different destinations depending on which state you are in. In my case, we went via Anzoátegui to travel from there to Isla de Plata, an incredible paradise that became one of my favorite beaches. ✨

We left Caracas at 12:00 a.m. and from there it's about a 4-5 hour drive. We made a stop somewhere in Miranda so the driver could get some encouragement to stay awake and eat a little, and we could stretch our legs. At 6:00 a.m., we were already at the port of Anzoátegui to catch the boat that would take us to Isla Larga. 🏝️

Que experiencia más encantadora disfrutar del amanecer en el puerto, con la lanchas allí lo hacía una imagen digna de estar en pinterest.❤️ Hay muchos lancheros que puedes agarrar para ir a la isla y el mismo que te lleva te va a buscar a la hora que tú le digas, en nuestro caso nos colocaron unos brazaletes para saber que fuimos sus clientes y nos fueron a buscar a la hora en la que todo el mundo debe dejar la isla, a las 5:30 PM, así que si, nos esperaba todo el día en la maravillosa Isla... El costo de las lanchas es de 3$, claramente ese precio varía de lancha que contrates, de si es temporada alta o baja, de si incluyen algún servicio extra, todo eso te lo explican en el lugar.

El camino a la isla es súper corto y en nuestro caso, la lancha era súper cómoda y segura así que el trayecto fue mucho más encantador algo que me gustó mucho porque yo no soy fan de las lanchas, aproximadamente fueron unos 5 minutos de camino en dónde te atrapa el azul del mar, el viento en tu cabello y el sol mañanero saliendo 😍.

Una vez en la isla comienza la magia, el clima es perfecto, la temperatura del agua es perfecta, no hay olas ni corriente fuerte, solo un paraíso que nos regala esta tierra llamada Venezuela.✨

What a delightful experience to enjoy the sunrise at the port, with the boats there, it was a picture worthy of Pinterest. ❤️ There are many boatmen you can hire to take you to the island, and the same one who takes you there will pick you up at the time you specify. In our case, they gave us bracelets to identify us as their customers and picked us up at the time when everyone has to leave the island, at 5:30 PM, so yes, we got to spend the whole day on the wonderful island... The cost of the boats is $3, but obviously that price varies depending on the boat you hire, whether it's high or low season, and whether they include any extra services. They explain all of that to you on site.

The trip to the island is super short, and in our case, the boat was very comfortable and safe, so the journey was much more enjoyable, which I really liked because I'm not a fan of boats. It was about a 5-minute trip where you are captivated by the blue sea, the wind in your hair, and the morning sun coming up.

Once on the island, the magic begins. The weather is perfect, the water temperature is perfect, there are no waves or strong currents, just a paradise that this land called Venezuela gives us.

Como pasamos toda la noche viajando obviamente el desayuno se tenía que pedir en la playa, en la isla no hay variedad de puestos de comida y realmente si buscas algo bueno en relación calidad precio es mejor que compres en el puerto, de hecho los señores que nos trasladaron en lancha también se encargan de la comida, ellos te dicen el menú y su precio y solo tienes que pedir y decir a qué hora lo quiere, y en lancha te lo llevan muy puntual.
Para el desayuno pedimos empanadas, y si, yo soy la loca que come empanadas de queso cuando hay mucha variedad de sabores, y para el almuerzo pedimos deditos de atún que venían con ensalada rayada, patacones, papas fritas, tajadas y arepitas fritas, fue el mejor almuerzo que yo he comido en mi vida la verdad. 😂

Volviendo al tema de la playa, que espectacular todo, el sol estaba en su punto exacto dónde calentaba pero no quemaba ni era fastidioso, el agua estaba perfecta para niños ya que era bajita y no tenía olas, no había necesidad de preocuparse por algún accidente, de hecho pude terminar de aprender a flotar (que ahora es de mis cosas favoritas) y a medio nadar, pero siempre y cuando no esté en una situación de supervivencia. 😂

Since we spent the whole night traveling, we obviously had to order breakfast on the beach. There isn't a wide variety of food stalls on the island, and if you're looking for something good value for money, it's better to buy at the port. In fact, the guys who took us by boat also take care of the food. They tell you the menu and the price, and you just have to order and say what time you want it, and they bring it to you by boat right on time.
For breakfast, we ordered empanadas, and yes, I'm the crazy one who eats cheese empanadas when there's a wide variety of flavors. For lunch, we ordered tuna fingers that came with shredded salad, patacones, French fries, tajadas, and fried arepas. It was honestly the best lunch I've ever had in my life. 😂

Getting back to the beach, everything was spectacular. The sun was at just the right angle, warm but not hot or annoying. The water was perfect for children because it was shallow and there were no waves, so there was no need to worry about accidents. In fact, I was able to finish learning how to float (which is now one of my favorite things) and how to swim a little, but only as long as I'm not in a survival situation. 😂

El día se nos hizo eterno cosa que por primera vez era en un sentido bueno, tanto así que ya al medio día empezó a pegar el cansancio del viaje y del mal descanso que tuvimos así que aprovechamos de dormir un rato en la playa, un rato que se convirtió en una hora y media jaja, pero eso funcionó a la perfección para recargar energías y seguir disfrutando de la isla.

Obviamente hay que destacar que hay miles de lugares para tomarse fotos increíbles, como piedras, una pequeña montañita que tenía una bandera de Venezuela y se podía apreciar toda la isla y las islas alrededor. Esa isla es una parada fija para los yates, por lo que a partir de las 2:00 PM empezaron a llegar muchos yates ya sea con familia o con amigos, una discoteca andante, realmente se ve mucho ambiente en ellos jaja.

Cómo a las 4:30 PM todas las persona ya estaban recogiendo sus cosas porque las lanchas ya no tardaban en llegar, y un policía pasó recordando que ya era hora de irnos, al ser un parque Nacional la seguridad está mucho más reforzada porque hay que preservarlos, lo bueno es que las personas entienden eso y se mantiene cuidada la isla.

The day seemed endless, which for once was a good thing, so much so that by midday we began to feel tired from the trip and the poor sleep we had had, so we took the opportunity to sleep for a while on the beach, which turned into an hour and a half, haha, but that worked perfectly to recharge our batteries and continue enjoying the island.

Obviously, it's worth noting that there are thousands of places to take incredible photos, such as rocks, a small hill with a Venezuelan flag, and views of the entire island and the surrounding islands. This island is a regular stop for yachts, so from 2:00 PM onwards, many yachts began to arrive, either with family or friends, like a floating nightclub. There's a really lively atmosphere on them, haha.

At around 4:30 PM, everyone was already packing up their things because the boats were about to arrive, and a police officer came by to remind us that it was time to leave. Being a national park, security is much tighter because they have to be preserved. The good thing is that people understand this and take care of the island.

Luego de todo un día en la isla ya era ora de irnos y la lancha ya había ido por nosotros luego de un exelente servicio que hicieron tanto con la puntualidad como con la comida y la calidad de la comida, se los recomiendo un montón la verdad.

Fue sin duda un viaje increíble que lleno todas mis expectativas, los invito a todos a que se animen y vayan a conocer este paraíso, es sin duda perfecto y maravilloso.

Cosas que les recomendaría:

• Lleven bastante hidratación ya que se pasa todo el día en la playa, y el sol por más que no caliente la punto de sofocar igual puede causar deshidratación.
• Pregunten en varios puestos de comida y de lanchas, no se queden con uno solo ya que en términos de comida si puede variar el precio y, si son un grupo grande, mientras más se ahorren mucho mejor y la calidad puede ser la misma.
• Es una zona muy segura porque tiene policías y personas que cuidan el lugar, así que disfruten todo lo que quieran sin tanta preocupación.

After a whole day on the island, it was time to leave, and the boat had already come for us after providing excellent service in terms of punctuality, food, and food quality. I highly recommend them, to be honest.

It was undoubtedly an incredible trip that met all my expectations. I invite everyone to go ahead and visit this paradise. It is undoubtedly perfect and wonderful.

Things I would recommend:

• Bring plenty of water, as you will spend the whole day on the beach, and even though the sun is not hot enough to suffocate you, it can still cause dehydration.
• Ask at several food stalls and boat operators. Don't settle for just one, as food prices can vary. If you are a large group, the more you save, the better, and the quality can be the same.
• It's a very safe area because there are police officers and people who look after the place, so enjoy yourselves without worrying too much.
