If you have been reading previous post you will know several years ago we purchased a home in Mexico to eventually use part of the year as a retirement home. Since no home you purchase is exactly what you want we have been making changes to the property to get it to the point we want it when we retire. The post The New Swing Bar detailed a recent change to the property in which we added and outdoor entertainment area with a grill. The next project will be remodeling the kitchen. The floor plan of the new kitchen will be something similar to this:
The kitchen design was developed with a program available on the internet named Planner 5D. The program is easy to use and really helps visualize what the end project will look like. Here's a couple of views of the existing kitchen and what it will eventually look like.

Taking the bar area out will open the kitchen up more and make it feel not so cramped, it's a very small kitchen so every little bit helps. The window will be moved to get ready for a further remodel effort that would seal the window off. This way anyone in the kitchen can see out into the courtyard.
We're just getting started with this effort but hopefully it will get completed this winter. If nothing else, it will give me a good excuse to go down and "supervise" while it's cold here in Indiana.
