Watch me draw a mermaid from scratch. It was late at night when I started drawing but I think the darkness adds some eerie atmosphere to the drawing. At the end I'll put a video of me turning this hand sketch into a lineart drawing in Adobe Illustrator.
As I normally do I start by mapping out the basic pose and shapes.
This mermaid will be taking a mirror selfie...lol
Gonna start fleshing her out now, I'm kinda doing this freehand, not really focusing much on proportion accuracy. So lets give her some hair and other features.
