The smell of salt and family music filled the air, and people were ecstatic about the daylight ending. I caught a breath of fresh air sweeping over me, the cold saltwaters of a sea. The fluid kissed my feet as I walked along a shoreline, and shivers of delight ran in my body. Sea seemed to be offering me a dance invitation (or so it sounded like) with the rhythm strokes.
When the sun was more low I clicked into a corner where I could reflect. The sky got darker and the sun rays turned golden shining on the water and built up the path of light that went into the distance. I shut my eyes; I felt the fading sun-beams wrap themselves about me as though it would embrace me, and warm me. During that instant time stood still. I could feel one with something bigger than myself, there was a fantastic touch of calm that flowed on me.
When the sky was just turning dark, I had to reluctantly get up to go away, but not without looking the last time at the horizon. The sun had set and it was not a mere procedure of the end of the day, but it was a lesson to enjoy these short-lived pleasant moments of natural beauty and calmness. As the stars started shining above, I marched away, happy, and filled with new life.
