The Karoo in the Northern Cape of South Africa is picturesque and has a topography all it's own.
This area is also known as "Die Platteland" translated as The Flatland the name for obvious reasons given by locals and commonly referred to by this name.
It is a place of beauty with wide open spaces and tons of farms stretching far and wide and supplies the country with fresh produce, tea, sheep, and cattle. Also filled with a wide range of wildlife including the Big Five.
