Short hike and two churches. My Actifit Report Card: September 29 2024

My hiking destination for the weekend is quite far from home. I therefore planned only a short hike on the morning (10km with 500m of total elevation gain) followed by walks around two towns.

The highlight of the first town, Sokołowsko, is a miniature but beautiful Orthodox Church.

The second walk was in the city of Świdnica. The jewel there is a XVI century Lutheran church built only with wood, clay and straw. It’s one of so called “Churches of Peace” that were built in catholic Habsburg empire to accommodate protestants. The church is a UNESCO site.
