I had hiked with Pedro quite a bit. Always with his owner, but we had gotten to know each other well. Now he is temporarily under my care. Since it’s Saturday, I took him on a hiking trip.
Knowing that Pedro is not a fan of hiking in high temperatures (25 C qualifies as high for him), I had planned a 16km route - short by my standards. He was ok in the shadow of a forest but open spaces and sun drained his energy. I had to cut the route down to 12km and ask a friend to pick us up.
Next week looks very hot in the forecast- upwards of 30 degrees Celsius. I will be very careful with Pedro so he stays #AliveAndThriving
