Long story short, last week I had caught some infection. Regardless, I decided to go for a planned 3 days hiking trip over the weekend. Bad nights, with congestion and cough, but quite enjoyable days, even when the weather wasn鈥檛 very kind. Each day was about 30k steps, but made in mountains and in the cold / rain / snow / wind.
We cannot cheat our bodies though, and I had to pay for my bravado. Monday and Tuesday were in survival mode - a dry cough bothered me all day and I was really far from doing any activity. Had less than 3k steps each day, just moving around my apartment.
Today morning I woke up not yet fully well, but good enough to go for my morning walk. Beautiful weather: -1掳 and sunny. It made me think that reaching the goal for today - 29k steps to clear the bar at @poprzeczka - was achievable.
After work I had to service my car. I decided to go for a long walk while my car was in the garage. Luckily, in the midst of 300 000 inhabitants city, there鈥檚 a large forest and part of it is a nature reserve.
I enjoyed it very much. I used the time to call my Mom, who lives some 1300km away and she was happy we could talk for over two hours. Well, she did the talking, I did the listening part. 馃榾
The nature reserve doesn't look welcoming when you see how boggy it is. No worries, I walked on dry ground, using a vast network of foot- and cycling paths. Nice, sunny weather and the temperature rose to some 10 degrees. I didn't need my jacket until the sunset.
This almost completed my target. I just needed to do the last 1000 steps around my apartment. @manuvert - over to you, you have 6hrs to catch up. Good luck!
PS. I am feeling ok now - just about going to bed.
@sk1920 you will recognize the area, I guess.
