My todays hike was in a small mountain range (highest peak at 829m a.s.l.) located near a medieval Cistercians monastery (founded in 1234). These monks have been quite useful to the rulers as they developed agriculture and promoted educated farming. One of their achievements is a brewery. Therefore our last stop was their monastery and the restaurant they run, where we bought a collection of their beers.
Earlier, our 18km and 750m of elevation gain hike looked like they this:
It was cold, but no wind and low humidity made the day very pleasant. We didn’t have any views, but all of us, including Pedro the dog were happy at the end of the day.
