During my evening walk I observed how mom-duck took her ducklings for a walk. On their way to the river they had to cross a foot- and cycling path. She looked very concerned and waited for the right moment to cross. Moments later they were swimming in the water.
The dad-duck, meanwhile, stood in a distance, seemingly not involved. But being the responsible father he is, he had an important role. Male ducks are very colorful while the females blend easily with plants. In case of emergency, the dad-duck wood attract the attention of the would be predator and drag them away from his family. This is Fatherhood with capital "F".
