Hello Everyone...

While I am just starting on Hive (although I already created an account months ago but didn't take much interest into looking into the community), I have learnt a few things withing might short period of time. I will be sharing it here.

HIVE LOGO

I learned how to use Mardown

In the process of reading through posts, I saw that the posts were organised and well written. I tried creating a post but it didn't work well so I decided to read about how to use markdown and after a few minutes of reading, I was able to create a good post and organize the format.

Copy and Pasting isn't welcomed.

I am used to the centralized social media platform although I love to spend time on reddit since it is where I can learn more compared to other social media platform, but seeing Hive came as a shock. To be truthful, I spent my entire day reading from one post to the another. In the hours of going through this posts, one thing I saw was that plagiarism was frowned upon. I have tried my best to see that I create original content. Moreover, it isn't fun to read, if it isn't original.

You are not Entitled to Votes/likes

Just like every social media, people are to react to your posts, and in the case of Hive, people can react positively and negatively. I saw the positive way is via upvote while the negative way is via downvote. It didn't come as news to me when I realised that dpwnvote would take away the earnings on the post, since upvote was going to be a way to reward the post. This is my third post, and in my two previous posts, I was my own voter (that's cool anyways), which made me come to a realisation that it is going to be a process of of gradual growth.

You Can earn Money.

I am yet to earn my first dollar, although, I have tried out an exchange, but from my findings, there are so many ways to make money on Hive. The conventional ones which are creating post, comments, and upvotes were the methods I was familiar with before, but while reading and taking notes, I learned that staking of Hive is a good way to earn money, Saving Hive and Hive Backed Dollar is another way, tribal airdrops, Hive blockchain games (this I haven't tried), and creating content with tribal condensers. These are the few I know for now, you could please share more with me if they are available.

Rome wasn't built in a day

This is the final thing I learnt on Hive. I will have to put in a lot of effort, and time to be recognised on this platform. The need to learn and grow is a major reason why this blockchain social media caught my attention, and I will be doing that to the later.

Thanks a lot for reading this post, I will be really happy to have you on my blog next time.
