If there is one thing you can do for yourself alone, it is working out your body. For any reason, but it should be mainly to keep fit, exercising is something only the person doing it will reap the fruit of it. Exercise is one of the things I never liked to do for many years until some months back when I realized how important it is for me.
The human body needs as much movements as possible, that is actually the point of work outs. It's why they recommend to people who sit a lot during work hours to take walks or visit the gym every weekends. And it's why little children don't really need exercise, they are natural hyperactives and they run around a lot in their vibrant age.
Sedentary lifestyle is an enemy to what the body want and that is consistent movements, so exercise is very much needed. I don't think there is a specific age for exercising, anybody can but I'll say children do not need it. I mean, the structured workouts or too strenuous ones. It's okay to involve them in the simple and light ones.
Can we work out at any stage of our lives?
Yes, you need workouts if you're always at home and working from your bed or office room. You need workouts if you have to sit all day at your work place. You need workouts if you have to stand all day at work. You need workouts if you have too much fat in your body. You need workouts if you have no fat and look very lean. You need workouts if you fall sick a lot. You also need workouts if you want to prolong your life.
Our lives were given to us, no doubt but taking care of the body given to us is a responsibility we must take seriously. Exercise has proven to extend lives even more than we realize. I learned recently that the little workout you do today will pay you in the future, you just may not know what you're saving yourself from when you workout.
Do you currently exercise?
After a consistent streak for months, I broke it some days ago as I started to leave the house very early and no time to do my usual workouts. But I'm not bothered because I have to walk for almost 30 mins every morning to get to my destination and that is more than enough workout to keep fit until the weekends when I do my actual workouts. It has been paying off really.
