Oatmeal is a cereal very accepted by the majority, it also fits recipes that bring pleasant flavors by the combination that is made at the time.
Getting ready to prepare a recipe either as a main meal or dessert involves a series of emotions that leads us to put that main ingredient such as joy, enthusiasm, love ... just thinking about the happy face of the people who will taste the result, is very satisfying. When we cook on a daily basis, these elements must always be present. We must enjoy the moment of preparation, as well as the tasting.
With this recipe I made oatmeal cookies for my mother a few months ago when I went to visit her, she liked them very much. Now she is with me in my house and it is an honor for me to please her. There are several oatmeal recipes that I have shared: Oatmeal cookies, Oatmeal and raisin cookies, Oatmeal and cocoa cookies.
Today I bring you Oatmeal cookies with paprika syrup. Taking into account the decrease of white sugar and refined flour.
Ingredients:
-4 cups of flaked oatmeal
-1 cup of oat flour (for the wheat flour)
-1 cup of syrup of papelón (for the white sugar)
-1 cup vegetable oil
-4 eggs
-A handful of raisins
-1 teaspoon baking powder
-1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
-A pinch of salt
If you wish you can make it with half of the ingredients, in this case it was doubled because there are more diners.
In a bowl place the oats, eggs, oat flour, vegetable oil, paprika syrup, raisins, cinnamon, baking powder, salt.
Mix everything together with a paddle.
After the ingredients are well blended, let the mixture stand covered for 30 minutes so that the oatmeal concentrates all the flavor.
Then, after 30 minutes, proceed to make the balls with the mixture or you can also do it with a teaspoon, place them on a tray (in this case the tray was spread with vegetable shortening and wheat flour.
It was taken to the oven for a few minutes, (the oven temperature always emphasize that everyone knows his oven and can handle it according to the time it considers, what if I tell you that when they are already cooked the smell is felt and when you lift one the bottom is golden brown sign of good cooking).
When they come out of the oven, cool and ready to taste, with a delicious coffee, or simply on their own. Enjoying the happy face tasting the delicious oatmeal cookies with paprika syrup.
