As of lately this seems to be a question people are struggling to answer. I sincerely don't know why it's hard to do so, but it seems I'm in the minority.
I would love to see an argument being made that had some meat, something of value to discern, but it seems that is not in the game plan for the talking heads.
The people that direct, if you will, public opinion, are always trying to find the next "GOT YOU" moment, the next POINT to be scored to show everyone how they are on the right team.
It should should be obvious that this point scoring is just plain stupid and it does nothing to help absolutely anyone.
Or, more fun, more clickbaity... I can try to make you define words like gender, like woman, like woke, like MAGA, etc, and attempt to make you trip to then ridicule you online.
Is this not obvious? Can't we see how we are baiting into division by those who benefit from our attention?
On top of that, defining these things are not even hard. You can even say there's a level of objectivity in the definitions. As much is there can be, of course, because life is subjective interpretation.
For the sake of proving a point, I'll try to define it, and maybe if you read this, and you want to discuss issues, we can do so without the pointless word-definition bouts.
Woke seems to be a social political movement that focuses on being overly righteous. It loses sight of practicality most of the time, and it more often that not it tends to hurt the very thing they are fighting for.
An expected evolution of social justice warrior types, who tend to be easily misguided, as noble as their intentions might be.
For all the things about society it touches, it seems to value identity politics more than substance and rejects for the most part notions of merit.
Am I wrong?
