Normalizing Pedophilia?

I literally have to take a deep breath and think about this before I write, and I can't promise It won't end in insults, because it very much can. But what seems to be happening is that we, and when I say we I mean society(me excluded), are attempting to understand humans who are sexually attracted to children. In this quest, we are beginning to open up the conversation and address it as an illness and not so much a crime exclusively.

Ok, with great effort, I can concede that the people who are attracted to children are sick, but I do think we need to draw a very solid line in the sand here. You see, to call it a sexual preference as if it's equivalent to being attracted to a possible mate, is too much of a stretch for me.

If we are going to walk down this path, then we should say that bestiality is also just a sexual preference, or necrophilia (sex with corpses) for that matter. I'm sorry, but these are aberrant behaviors, and they completely fall outside any umbrella of morality.

Again, I'm trying to be cool headed here, so I have to concede that studying this is probably a good thing. If for nothing else but to find a treatment for those who are demented. Yes, I will call a so call MAP an insane person without hesitation.

That being said, I'm 100 percent against the normalization of pedophilia. There is absolutely no way we can talk about this, as if we would be talking about queer people. It's not the same, not by a long shot.

But, what's most important here, at least in my personal opinion is for everyone to be aware of this attempt of relabeling. Know what MAP stands for Minor Attracted Person, and be vigilant of this disgusting bullshit.
