I saw Anthony Pompliano, also known as Pomp, talking about this on his podcast. Apparently, US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick came out publicly and announced the US had officially sold one thousand Gold Cards to foreign nationals—all in one single day.
A number hard to believe, I’ll grant you, but it does make us think about the possibilities here. We’re also being told there are about 37 million people in the world who can afford paying 5 million dollars to get a green card, to jump in front of the line if you will. That’s another figure I have a tough time digesting.
So what’s the plan?
The idea is to fix the deficit, of course. We’ve been hearing for decades now that the country is going bankrupt. After Bush took office, the deficit just rocketed out of control. Crypto enthusiasts know this all too well, since crypto itself was born out of that grim reality.
The administration believes they can sell one million cards. In other words, they claim a million millionaires out there are willing to buy themselves the golden ticket. This I seriously don’t believe, but then again, who knows?
The truth is, if the US did sell a million cards, that would give the country 5 trillion dollars in revenue. Insanity.
What do you guys think? Smoke and mirrors, wishful thinking, or could this actually be the fix we need for the deficit mess?
