I've been gifted, somehow, some credits to play around with lovable.dev. I had seen videos about it, tweets and whatnot, but honestly, I had very little reason to move away from my current setup for development.
That said, free is free, so I gave it a shot.
I'm a little blown away, I have to admit.
It may be that I'm a boomer, as the kids say, but the idea of one shots seems insane to me. A prompt, three short lines, and suddenly you have a full blown app. It seems more like a thing of luck than accurate prompt engineering, or whatever they call it these days.
At any rate, I gave it a go.
My brother had asked me months and months ago to make a PWA for Mom, so she can see her balance on her phone easily, without having to open Keychain, remember her PIN, or anything like that.
A small app, to be fair. A redundant one, to be even more fair, but I get it. Quick tap, done.
In Keychain Desktop, I can see my portfolio, and adding Mom's account there is cake, so to say this idea was on the back burner is to call the back burner a burner located in the kitchen of the adjacent farm.
But, since I have the free credits, I just gave it a go.
Wrote a three line prompt and boom.
It's alive.
And it works.
And what is even crazier to me, I published it with just another click.
So, I figured, why not give it to the community?
