Clara picked me up on a boat as promised after I jumped off the ship and dived into the ocean. We watched the ships burn alongside Juan and Clara. After learning about Julio's death, Clara convinced Dani to stay and fight for victory after reaching Zamok Archipielago.
It looked like Clara really came to pick me up as promised, driving her boat near the area. I needed to reach her boat, so I jumped off the ship and dived directly into the ocean. Clara got me on board, and it was finally time to get out of the island.
Just as Julio mentioned, he made sure to blow the ships into pieces. It was not only us out there on the water; Juan was flying overhead in a chopper, and more of our boats were heading across the ocean. It felt good to see the enemy ships burning down at last, signaling that our operation was completed.
Clara asked Dani what the plan was after reaching America. Dani mentioned making some money to open up a body shop. Clara pointed out that the American dream did not come easy for everyone, and that their next president might not last long either.
While we were riding away from the island, Clara and Dani had a deep conversation about what the future of the place would hold. Clara mentioned that it would only lead to more chaos with new presidents coming into power.
Juan flew over and greeted us from his chopper as we traveled. He mentioned that Julio never checked in, which meant he might have been captured or killed. Juan revealed that Julio was stuck at the Esperanza prison. When Julio went to blow up the ships, the enemy forces captured him.
President Anton came along with his young son to face the prisoner. Anton talked to the young lad, Diego, about how they should deal with those who were disloyal to the regime. Anton wanted to prove his point while his soldiers were torturing Julio.
Anton asked young Diego to put Julio down himself to test him. The young boy held the weapon and tried to follow the command, but he could not bring himself to do it and failed the test. Anton then made his officer torture Julio further, telling the young man to just sit back and enjoy the show.
Later, Juan got a photo of Julio, showing his body as proof of his death. Juan, Dani, and Clara started talking about what this meant for their movement.
Clara convinced Dani to stay with the group, mentioning that Dani was their best guerilla fighter and needed to keep working toward ultimate victory.
So, we were at the Zamok Archipielago, which served as the main Libertad home base. There was a heavy military presence nearby, along with stronger enemy units stationed across the surrounding area.
The more territory we gained, the tougher the fights were going to be for us. I needed to go talk to Juan right away to start our next mission.
How about we continue in another post?
Thanks for reading my post.
