I apologize for this post, because it's no more than a little rant. Truth is that I'm annoyed with the way people word things, with the way people argue for their positions. Yes, not everyone can be versed in the art of debate, but I can't accept the logical inconsistencies some people adhere to.
If you read that last line, and you are getting ready to tell me that I must be drinking bleach if I think Unicorns exist, hear me out for a second; I don't! The point I'm trying to make is that not because you can't prove a negative does that equate that the opposite is true.
If you can't prove to me that Unicorns exist, that does not mean that they don't or that they do. Do you see what I mean? They could exist, it's unlikely, and I personally don't think they do, but proving a negative is the bluntest of tools to make a logical argument.
This does not mean that something didn't happen, of course we don't know that, but in practice it might as well say as much. In other words, political pish posh of the highest levels of futility.
I for one, I'm pretty tired of the public square's inability to be rational and logical. We have but a bunch of dishonest talking heads trying to secure viewership at the expense of reason and logic.
