Sometimes life surprises you, and every now and then, it does so in a good way.
Truth be told, I was fully expecting Apple to reject the newest update to Snapie Mobile. I mean, the moment you add wallet functionality, you're kind of asking for extra scrutiny. But guess what? Nope.
Just a few minutes ago, I found myself staring at an email saying the update had been approved.
"What?" I thought to myself.
Not a single question. Not a single request for clarification. No pushback whatsoever.
Well, well, well.
I'm certainly not going to look a gift horse in the mouth, so I immediately pushed the release.
"What does that mean?" I hear you asking. I see you typing. I sense you thinking.
Well, it means that if you're an Apple user, as of right now—yes, right now—you can update your Snapie Mobile app to the newest version.
Triple yes. Double hell yeah.
I mentioned a few days ago that I've been slowly adding features to Snapie Mobile while also cleaning things up and making the experience more intuitive. That said, I don't think it's a good idea to turn it into a mirror of Snapie.io.
Why?
Because too much ranch sauce ruins the pizza.
When Snapie Mobile first launched, the goal was simple: give new users the easiest and quickest way to get started. Almost no learning curve. I think it accomplished exactly that.
I'd like it to stay true to that mission instead of becoming the app that tries to do absolutely everything.
That doesn't mean development is slowing down, though. I fully intend to add Google and Apple sign-in as well, because those changes follow the same philosophy:
Reduce friction.
Make onboarding easier.
Let people get to the fun part faster.
At any rate, what are you waiting for?
Go update—or download—Snapie Mobile, you Malus domestica supporter.
See you in Snapie land.
