Before the whole “micro-brewery“ went viral and beamp a thing, Kuhnhenn Brewery was making small batch beers and serving to the locals in Warren, MI.
I paid a visit to their newer Clinton Township location, and had a few brews with college friends.
Pictured is their ginger peach cider, and orange blossom hydromel.
Now that we are in the 70s here in Michigan, these refreshing alcoholic drinks are really quite nice!
Ill give the ginger peach cider a 9/10, and the hydromel a 7/10.
The cider was well carbonated, full of both ginger and peach flavors, and had just the right amount of sweetness.
Hydromel was good, but taste a bit watered down, and the honey didn’t shine through. Was a bit alcoholic as well. Something like this should be lighter gravity.
