Just a brief post today with photos taken at the Lincoln Park Conservatory in Chicago to test the new Sony 90mm Macro lens. The conservatory provided plenty of flowers for test photos!
This is an Epiphyllum, commonly known as the Orchid Cactus or Leaf Cactus.
Because they are jungle plants, their care is closer to a tropical houseplant than a traditional desert cactus.
They have flat, scalloped, leaf-like stems (which act as leaves) and spectacular, oversized flowers.
