Ah the glory's of learning about the world around you and everything in it for the first time, I know this look far to well now. I remember when little miss started to do these things and her expressions and excitement. Lil Blokes been eating food for a little while now but it was just food in gob and away it goes.
As each day goes by he "wakes" up more as I like to term it, lil miss does this too and it suprises me so much. Today in my frantic mess finalising things at work as I had been off sick for a few days, I must have been frustrated and didn't even know. She says "Why are you yelling at me?". I stopped and thought, what? I'm not yelling? But I must have been. A stark reminder of our behaviours and how kids pick them up.
I apologised and then spent the remainder of the day feeling pretty shit about myself. It's still on my mind now.
I've been spending abit more time with lil bloke, his almost 11 months and not so much about mum these days, wants to explore a bit more with other people, that being dad. Which is pretty awesome.
Lil Miss is starting to get a little upset and jealous, told me I don't spent as much time with her as I used to. Double edged sword that one as she isn't with me all the time because she is growing and doing her own thing these days.
We had our first gym session together the other night, normally he might stick around for about half an hour before he decides he wants mum. But nope, this night he was keen to know what I was doing and bum shuffled across to some weights. He won't crawl yet, few of said they have concerns but I'm not too worried. Little Miss was the same, she didn't really crawl she just got up one day and walked. She was around 1 year old and then there was no stopping her.
We've also spent a bit of time learning about cultural significance and some items. This is lil blokes Coolamon that his Uncle made him for his birth. Not sure if you remember my post all that time ago but Coolamon are what we used to carry babies around in back before carriers.
They can also be used as shields and have a wide range of usage, but this one is stored away for safe keeping as it is little blokes.
Don't tell mum but we had him up on the bench as we cooked some dinner the other night, she'd be frightened that he might have fallen. He's really enjoying cooking too and learning how to cook. Hahaha just like his big sister I can't wait to get him involved in the kitchen.
Great times ahead with these two and I can't wait to relive it all again!
