How quickly did this week go? Seriously! It feels like it was just Monday and now it’s the weekend again. I don’t think I’m ever going to get over how fast time flies. I understand now why people with children say ‘they’re growing up so fast, I don’t know where the time’s going.’
I guess time is a precious thing that a lot of us take for granted. I don’t use what time I have effectively. I’m either working or contemplating life, as you all know. It’s crazy how quick life goes by. I often like to people watch and think about other people’s lives. My problems mean nothing to other people and vise versa. Who knows what’s going on in other peoples lives. Maybe we all relate to one another more than we know. I started my blog because I wanted to be open and honest with everyone, also because I love writing. But I wanted people to know that no matter what they’re going through they’re not alone. Whether it’s health problems, money issues or a shitty love life – I’m there for you guys. I don’t mind my personal life being out there, especially if people can relate to it. My life is nothing interesting but my stories or problems might help some of you and make you feel not so alone. That’s the ultimate goal anyway.
I’m here to write and to learn, but to also understand. Understand that there’s lives outside of my own. To know that maybe the person who cuts me off in traffic or gets angry at me in public, isn’t have the best day, week or year. I don’t want to judge people so quickly but I know it’s in our nature. I want to give everyone a chance even if they never gave me one. I don’t want to be self-absorbed. I don’t think I am at the moment but I’d love to be more of a people person. Judging people off of looks is one of my biggest dislikes. Although, nowadays we’re taught to judge on looks. In school the bullies would pick on the uglier children and the pretty ones would become popular. Dating online has never been so focused on looks. Swipe right if you think they’re hot or left if they’re not. Getting jobs in hospitality or reception work is very much so focused on looks, they only want a bright pretty face greeting or serving people. We judge others on their clothes, their hair, even their shoes. Why do we have to be this way?
We’ve only got so much time here. So why waste it being miserable or cruel? Be happy, love life and don’t take things or people for granted.
(Don’t worry, I’ll probably be back to my usual pessimistic self tomorrow)
Have a great weekend everyone. Keeping it short and sweet tonight.
Until next time,
Meliss
