When is the ‘right time’ to find love? Can someone please tell me because I honestly don’t know. Everyone seems to have their opinion on the topic and it’s honestly starting to piss me off. I believe there is no ‘right time’ and it’ll happen when it happens. Meaning, whether your 16 or 60 it can happen at any time. Nobody has the right to judge you, or to say ‘it’s not the time or place to fall in love.’ No one has the right to say that.
The reason for my sudden rant is because there’s an old couple at work. These two weren’t together before coming into Residential Care but instead met while they were both in here. I thought that was adorable and sweet, some of my colleges thought otherwise. Apparently it’s ‘too late’ to find love and they thought that this couple was ridiculous. It’s unbelievable the shit that comes out of some people’s mouths. Yes, they’re entitled to their own opinions but no it doesn’t mean they’re right.
I’m a dreamer as well as a hopeless romantic and I thought this couples story was fascinating. They were both married before and both widowed. They have family but of course it’s not exactly the same thing as having a partner. They’ve found someone who they know will be around every day until that inevitable day comes, which it will. I couldn’t be happier for them and I assumed everyone else would feel the same way. I guess some people aren’t hopeless romantics and maybe they don’t believe in true love. It just really pushed my buttons hearing these woman talk about this couple the way they were.
Love is LOVE. No matter what age, race, or gender. Nobody has the right to say negative things about your love, because it’s yours. I’ve said in one of my previous posts that all we need is love and I stick by that.
Rant complete. Have a good weekend everyone.
Until next time,
Meliss
