I find it crazy scary to think that one day, if you haven’t already, you’ll find someone who you’ll spend the rest of your life with. I’m a big believer in true love but I know it’s very hard to find – look at all the divorces people are getting nowadays.
But just for a second imagine spending the rest of your life with one person. I work in a residential home and many of the residents here are alone or have lost that special someone, except for two couples. They live in separate rooms but are inseparable during the day. They spend every waking moment together and I often find myself watching them and imagining their lives together. I don’t know anything about the lives they lived before coming into the residential home, but what I do know is when they pass away they’ll be happy and more importantly they’ll be loved.
I think, in my opinion, the two most important things in life are to be happy and to love. From my previous posts you’ll all know that I don’t know what our purpose here is on Earth. But instead of wasting time hung up on the fact that we’re generally here for no reason (that we know of) I’m going to spend all the time I’ve got being happy and loving everyone.
I know I’m rambling and that’s all I ever seem to do but I’m feeling a lot of emotions at the moment. Seeing these old couples happy and in love has opened my eyes to what’s really important. Money isn’t everything and yes it helps but there’s more to life than worrying about money 24/7. It’s a lot easier said than done, because need money to do practically everything but money can be earned easily, true love or happiness can't.
