I did it. I said I would, so I did.
If you've been keeping up with my recent posts then you'd know I've been having a shit time but am pretty confident about turning all the negatives into positives.
My boyfriend and I live together but have now broken up. I got to keep the master bedroom (for a price) and he's since moved upstairs. I thought I'd find it hard but I really didn't. I've been focusing on myself and actually listening to what I need. Although, I'm not too sure how I'll be when he brings another girl home - that's a post for another time.
As I said I've been focusing on myself, and that means I've joined a gym. Many posts ago I spoke about wanting to lose weight and now I've finally kicked myself off the couch and am actually doing something about it. I've been sick the past few days but today was my first day going to the gym. I kept it light as I'm still not 100% better but whilst I was on the treadmill I thought to myself 'I've missed how working out makes me feel.' It's crazy, when I was a kid I hated exercising and didn't understand why I needed to do it and would try ANYTHING to get out of it. Please tell me I'm not the only kid who did this??? But now I'm older I've realised how good exercising makes you feel and how much your body will thank you for it.
Although, I'm trying to diet and it's really not going well. The only thing that's keeping me afloat is being too poor to go out and buy junk food (thank God). Does anyone have any tips on sticking to a diet?
Otherwise I'm just trying to cut out unhealthy friendships and really focus on me. I'd love to be able to write daily on here and get back into my short story and freewrites. Writing is the one thing that I can always count on to keep me sane.
Keeping going everyone, you're doing great.
Until next time,
Meliss
