Ever since I was about ten years old I have writen stories and papers and poems and songs and articles and the like- basically just writing anything that came to mind. Today I would like to share with you a poem I wrote about middle school. Bear in mind I was just a mere 11 years of age at the time, shortly before starting the 6th grade. Now being 21 years old, I feel it appropriate to share with the world, so I hope you enjoy:

Middle School,

how is it like, Middle School? With the bullies, the populars, the wizards, the witches and of course the one an only cheerleaders.
A magical Kingdom, boys and girls everywhere, class to class, room to room, people everywhere! Walking, walking here and there! People, people everywhere! Science, math, history too, don’t forget English. So much to do! Project to project, assignment to assignment- don’t know what to do!
Class to class, don’t forget P.E.! Climbing the rope, so tall as can be! Running, running, mile to mile, ‘round the school, such a trial! P.E. is over, to the showers! Such an embarrassment, good thing it’s not an hour! To the lockers, so far away, four minutes to class, I can not stay! The best thing is is that it is time for lunch, time to hang out and eat what you want! Middle school’s awesome, I can’t believe I’m not in it! There are a lot of cute boys, more than you can imagine! It’s not like one class with half the cute boys in it. ‘Cause half of the boys are ugly and the other half are cute, but in middle school, half of the boys that are cute is triple the amount of cute boys in middle school, same with girls! Well back to the basics. There are two sides to the locker, good and bad. The good side is you have a locker but the bad side to some kids is the “combination”. It’s cool because you get to choose your combo, well sometimes. The hardest thing is, you might forget the combo. Let’s get to the real deal for middle school, something I should have said at the beginning, the teachers and the kids. Let’s talk about the teachers first. On the first day of school it’s not just hard for the students, it’s also hard for the teachers, too! Because teachers had to go to middle school too and I bet it was hard for them on the first day of sixth grade just like everybody who has been there or is going there. Middle school’s awesome, I can’t wait to get to Middle School!!!
