Learning and unlearning is a crucial part of life. Nothing is static or meant to be static. We are meant to evolve and adapt as things and situations around us are bound to change.
Learning and unlearning is a huge part of the changes we undergo. We learn new things to handle the current situation we find ourselves and sometime in the future, we may need to unlearn what we learnt in order to deal with that situation.
The first half of this year has been a learning curve for me. One major thing I learnt is to live life with a sense of urgency. When you think about it, we never really have so much time. People often say that life is short. We need to achieve the most we can with the time we have. We need to fulfill our dreams with the time we have.
Some people believe the opposite that there's enough time and so we don't need to pressure ourselves. I understand that but that makes us too relaxed to an extent. It makes you not to push more to achieve things. It sort of brings that laziness in doing things. I believe the best way to get things done on time is to give yourself a shorter time to achieve it. That pressure is good. Pressure makes diamonds afterall.
The pressure that comes with living your life with urgency makes you attempt and do more in a shorter time. It increases your chances of success. With every day that passes, we get older. Our body loses its strength with every second that passes. This is why we need to act with urgency and do the important work, achieve the great things, so that when we get old, we would have a fulfilled life.
When you're old, your eye sight declines, your physical power fades, you get exhausted quickly, you can't do things a younger person would. It's a natural process of life. The clock is always ticking and there's nothing we can do to stop it. What we can do, however, is to put all our efforts into making things happen for us as soon as possible.
So far, I have applied this urgency in my life and it has worked amazingly well. I have achieved things, and I hope to achieve way more. This makes me very excited about the future, because I know there's so much more to come.
